Arts Tech Film Fest: Westworld (1973)
The Program in Arts Technology presents the second annual Arts Tech Film Fest at the Normal Theater. This year’s festival will feature five films that explore the complexities of a future populated by humans and their robotic counterparts.
6 p.m.: Multimedia installations and virtual reality demos by Arts Technology students on display in the theater.
7 p.m.: Showing of Westworld (1973).
A robot malfunction creates havoc and terror for unsuspecting vacationers at a futuristic, adult-themed amusement park. Starring Yul Brynner and written and directed by Michael Crichton. Also starring James Brolin and Richard Benjamin. This 1973 film is the basis for the current HBO series of the same name.
Admission $7, $5 for students
