Body Project Implementation #2
Student Counseling Services, in collaboration with Health Promotion and Wellness, is offering female ISU students the opportunity to engage in the Body Project, a program developed to help establish and maintain a positive body image. Using a variety of fun and engaging media literacy and self-awareness exercises, activities and discussions teach participants to embrace the healthy ideal and their own body image, counter fat-talk in their daily life, promote Body Activism, and embrace non-appearance related characteristics in themselves and in others.
Following sessions available:
Implementation #1: Thursdays, October 3rd and 10th, 6-8 p.m.
Implementation #2: Thursdays, October 17th and 24th, 5-7 p.m.
Implementation #3: Tuesdays, October 22nd and 29th, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Implementation #4: Tuesdays, Nov. 5th and 12th, 6-8 p.m.
Implementation #5: Thursdays, Nov. 14th and 21st, 5-7 p.m.
