Green Team Forum
ISU’s Office of Sustainability invites you to our Green Team Forum on Friday, January 17th from 8:00am – 10:00 am in Old Main Room in Bone Student Center.
A light vegetarian breakfast + Fair Trade coffee/tea will be served. *Please note: this is a Zero Waste event. Reusables will be provided; feel free to bring your own if you like.
What is the Green Team? The Green Team is an informal group of faculty and staff who work collectively to promote environmentally, socially, and economically friendly practices within their unit and/or across campus. Getting involved with the Green Team is a great way for members of the ISU community to reduce the environmental impacts of their college or department while also helping Illinois State become a more sustainable institution! Based on our discussions at the Forum, the Green Team will host various social events, speaking engagements, and service projects throughout each semester.
Did you know? The original ISU Green Team was how the Office of Sustainability became what it is today! A group of environmentally conscious staff and faculty worked together to develop numerous sustainability initiatives across campus that later became the Office of Sustainability. There is no better time than the present to bring the Green Team back together from across campus to continue these efforts today!
The Forum This forum will give us the opportunity to meet others from across campus dedicated to creating a more sustainable ISU. Participants will be organized into Working Groups to brainstorm & collaborate. Ideas and feedback for specific projects amongst each area are welcomed and encouraged. From these discussions we will develop a series of activities and events in which the Green Team will pursue both this spring semester and beyond. We hope this forum will provide a networking opportunity to expand your knowledge of campus and meet new friends from all corners of ISU.
Please RSVP by Wednesday, Jan. 8th by emailing email@example.com
Thank you for your dedication to creating a more sustainable ISU!
