International Education Week: Keynote Speech – Global Leadership
Dr. Mikhail V. Grachev served as faculty in the United States, as well as in France, the U.K., Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Japan, Hong Kong, and Russia. His research is focused on international management, business strategy, leadership, and culture. He is the Major Collaborator and Country Co-Investigator in the award-winning 62-societies’ Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness (GLOBE) research project. Dr. Grachev was named Stanford Research Scholar and Wharton Senior Research Scholar; conducted research at Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars; and his “Making the Most of Cultural Differences” was featured in Harvard Business Review’s Breakthrough Ideas.
Dr. Grachev is the Associate Member at the University of Chicago’s Center for East European, Russian and Eurasian Studies. He served as the Board Member of the International Leadership Association (ILA), performed as Principle Investigator in the World Bank’s emerging markets projects, and was named a Coca-Cola Global Leaders Fellow . He also contributed to the transfer of post-Communist countries to democracy; served as Strategy Advisor to the Soros Foundation; and was personally invited by President Bill Clinton to participate in Business for Russia forum.
