International Seminar Series: Panel on the ISU Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies Minor
Panelists will give an overview of the founding of the Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies minor, and its subsequent history.
Dr. Joe Grabill is Emeritus Professor of History and one of the founders of the Peace and Conflict Resolution minor at ISU.
Dr. Dawn Beichner, faculty co-director of Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies, is a professor in the Criminal Justice Sciences Department and Women’s and Gender Studies Program. Her research incorporates interpersonal conflict, as it relates to incarcerated women’s past experiences of trauma and abuse.
Dr. Noha Shawki is an associate professor in the Department of Politics and Government, co-director of the Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies program, and faculty co-chair of the American Democracy Project at ISU. Her research addresses transnational activism as well as international norms, with a substantive focus on human rights and sustainable development.
