ISU Planetarium presents Back to the Moon for Good
The Illinois State University Planetarium is pleased to offer two great shows: Back to the Moon for Good and Bear Tales and Other Grizzly Stories. Show times for Back to the Moon are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM; with Bear Tales on Saturdays at 2 PM. Both shows run weekends from March 4 through April 30, with no programs March 25-26.
It’s been more than forty years since the last American astronaut walked on the Moon. Back to the Moon for Good, narrated by Tim Allen, traces our first steps on the Moon and how lunar exploration benefits us all. The program then explores the wealth of knowledge and resources gained by a return to the Moon, focusing on the Google Lunar XPRIZE – a $30-million prize offered the first non-governmental teams to successfully send robotic missions to the Moon.
Back to the Moon for Good premieres the ISU Planetarium’s exciting new full-dome video system which leaves you believing you’ve actually travelled into space. You won’t want to miss this exciting adventure!
Admission to the Illinois State University Planetarium is $4 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-12 and seniors, and $2 for children ages 3-4. Free parking for the Planetarium is available a short distance away in the University’s red-tag F-67 lot, located on the east side of School Street.
