ISU Planetarium presents Cosmic Colors
The Illinois State University Planetarium is pleased to present Cosmic Colors. Show times for Cosmic Colors are Wednesdays at 2 PM and Fridays at 7:30 PM. The show runs from May 18 through July 22, with no programs July 1.
Cosmic Colors takes you on a wondrous journey across the electromagnetic spectrum. Discover why the sky is blue and Mars is red. Explore the human eye and then journey within a plant leaf. Investigate x-rays by voyaging to a monstrous black hole and then back at your doctor’s office. You will even see the actual color of a dinosaur, based on recent evidence. Get ready for an amazing adventure under a rainbow of cosmic light!
Admission to the ISU Planetarium is $4 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-12 and seniors, and $2.00 for children ages 3-4. Tickets may be purchased in the Planetarium Gift Shop, next to the Planetarium, beginning 20 minutes before each show.
The ISU Planetarium is located under the white domed roof at the eastern end of Felmley Hall of Science. Felmley Hall is located on the northeast corner of the ISU campus at the intersection of College Avenue and School Street.
Inexpensive parking for the 2 PM Wednesday matinees is available in the ISU visitor lot, located on Locust Street. Free parking for the 7:30 PM Friday programs is available a short distance from the ISU Planetarium in University parking lot F-67, located on the east side of School Street.
