ISU Writing Program: Research Talk by Dr. Dylan B. Dryer
This year the Writing Program’s guest for our Annual Speaker Series will be Dr. Dylan B. Dryer, Associate Professor of Composition Studies at the University of Maine. Tonight’s presentation features his research talk “The Present Future of Rhetorical Genre Studies: International Contexts and Emerging Research” will take place at 7:00pm in STV 101.
Dr. Dryer will be visiting campus on October 4-5.
Dr. Dryer will also facilitate the workshop “Toward a Translingual Composition Pedagogy” on Wednesday October 4th at 12:30 pm in STV 133. If you would like to participate in it, please sign up here since there is limited space.
You can find further information on the events in the attached poster or on the front page of the Writing Program Website. Also, feel free to contact me with questions.
Finally, please don’t forget to invite your students the talk and reach out to those students who might be interested to attend the workshop. Feel free to share the attached poster and flyer with your students. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to attend a talk about research conducted outside of ISU, and to learn about how a genre studies approach is employed beyond our program.
Hope to see many of you attend these exciting events!
