Sociology and Anthropology Research Series talk: Low-income and Marriage

Jeremy Kanter

Jeremy Kanter, professor in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Illinois State University, will present the talk “Understanding the Longitudinal Course of Marriage: A Re-Examination with Socioeconomically Disadvantaged Couples”.

In his talk, Kanter will discuss two areas of his research: 1.) How low-income couples develop and maintain cognitive and behavioral components of their relationships throughout various stressors  2.) Identifying previous interpersonal and environmental situations and the outcomes of different relational experiences.

This is a brown bag event co-hosted by the ISU Interdisciplinary Research Group on Personal Relationships.  Please feel free to bring your lunch!
